US Airways has commenced seasonal (summer) daily non-stop flights between its hub in Philadelphia and the Irish city of Shannon from May 22.
The flights will use a 176-seat dual-class Boeing 757-200 aircraft and operate until September 6.
US Airways also operates round the year flights between Philadelphia and the Irish capital Dublin, and seasonal summer flights to Dublin from its hub in Charlotte, N.C.
Passengers departing to the US from Shannon also benefit from U.S. immigration and customs pre-clearance at Shannon Airport. This saves time as pre-cleared passengers arrive in the US as domestic passengers and can also check their bags to their final destination in the US.
