US Airways has completed the installation of Gogo WiFi in-flight Internet connectivity on 90 percent of its domestic fleet. The airline announced recently that it has installed the service on its fleet of 270 Airbus A319, A320, A321 and Embraer 190 aircraft.
In-flight Internet connectivity equipment has also been installed in 58 Embraer 170 and Embraer 175 aircraft operated by Republic Airlines as US Airways Express.
During the recent upgrading process, US airways installed Gogo’s ATG-4 technology on all its Airbus A321, A320, A319 aircraft.
The upgraded ATG-4 technology replaced the previous ATG (air-to-ground) technology. ATG-4 significantly increases the available bandwidth and connection speeds offered by the in-flight Wifi system.
