US Airways will launch new nonstop flights to multiple destinations in Europe from its hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, in spring 2014.
The airline has announced non-stop flights from Charlotte to Barcelona (Spain), Brussels (Belgium), Lisbon (Portugal) and Manchester (UK) beginning in spring next year.
The four new flights will be in addition to the existing US Airways’ flights to these destinations from its hub at Philadelphia International Airport.
The new flights to Barcelona, Lisbon and Manchester will begin from May 22, 2014, while the flights to Brussels will commence from June 5, 2014.
The Lisbon and Manchester flights will be operated using Boeing 757 aircraft, the Brussels flight will operate using Boeing 767 aircraft while Barcelona flights will be operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft featuring the airline’s Envoy business class suites.
With the launch of the new flights, US Airways will be flying to a total of 38 International destinations from Charlotte including 10 cities in Europe and 28 in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, South America and the Caribbean.
