Virgin America has expanded its coast-to-coast flights in the US with the addition of 3 daily flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Newark’s Liberty Airport from April 9, 2013. The airline already operates flights from the 2 west coast cities to New York’s JFK Airport.
These new flights will include Virgin’s Main Cabin Select (premium economy) option with extra legroom, free meals/drinks, priority check-in/boarding and dedicated overhead bins. Other features include Gogo in-flight WiFi Internet service (for an extra $14), live satellite TV and power outlets at each seat.
Virgin America was recently ranked in the Airline Quality Report as the best airline in the United States. The new flights from Newark to LAX will make connections to Virgin Australia’s flights to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney more convenient for travelers on the east coast.
