Virgin America has entered into an interline agreement and a Special Pro-Rate Agreement with Transaero, Russia’s second largest airline.
The interline agreement will enable US travelers to start their journey with a flight on Virgin America to Los Angeles or New York and easily connect to flights to Moscow on Transaero’s flights.
Similarly, Transaero’s passengers from Russia will be able book flights for travel between Moscow and any destination on Virgin America’s US network by connecting in Los Angeles or New York.
Tranaero currently operates non-stop flights to Moscow from the US cities of New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
The Special Pro-rate Agreement between the two carriers will enable passengers to buy tickets for the flights on the two airlines on select routes at special competitive prices.
Special fares will be available on the routes between Moscow with a connection in Los Angeles to US cities including Washington DC, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, San Jose, San Francisco and Las Vegas. The fares will also be offered on flights between Moscow and San Francisco or Las Vegas via New York.
