Virgin Atlantic is expected to launch multiple daily domestic flights between London’s Heathrow Airport and the Scottish cities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen on March 31, 2013. The airline is procuring Airbus A320 aircraft for operation on these routes.
Virgin Atlantic is also launching flights between Heathrow and Manchester, UK Airports in 2013. These flights will serve as feeder flights for Virgin’s international flights from Heathrow.
Virgin secured these routes after the flight slots were vacated by British Airways after its takeover of BMI in October 2012.
