Virgin Australia announced plans to begin tests in October of inflight Wifi streaming service on its flights. The proposed service will stream music, movies and TV shows and initially service tablets distributed to passengers. Ultimately service will be available on passengers’ smartphones, laptops and tablets. Service will be complementary for business travelers; it was not announced if economy fliers will be required to pay for the tablets, or if the service will not be available in coach class.
