Virgin Australia will be able to handle more and bigger aircraft with the opening of its upgraded aircraft handling facilities at Terminal 2 in Sydney’s Airport. The upgrade will increase the number of gates from nine to 14 and four of the new gates will be able to handle large aircraft such as Airbus A330s.
Virgin Australia expects annual passenger traffic of about eight million passengers at Sydney Airport and the expansion will allow it to increase flight frequencies at the airport.
