It seems like the airlines’ strict luggage policies have triggered a wave of weird “wearable luggage” creations aimed at cost-conscious travelers who do not mind being stared at.
First there was the Stuffa Jacket and now another such creation, the Jaktogo, is offering a combination of luggage and clothing item.
The Jaktogo – which looks like an inflated coat – has 14 pockets that can store as much as 15 kg of luggage. It is available in polyester, denim and leather and has two variations – Ponchotogo (resembling a poncho) and Dresstogo (for ladies).
Both versions can be folded to fit inside carry-on luggage.
The Jaktogo is priced starting at 79.95 euros (about $103) while the Dresstogo is slightly cheaper at 69.95 euros (about $90).
Considering that checked luggage fees range between $50 to $125 per suitcase, the cost of a Jaktogo can be recovered quickly.
Presumably the poncho can be removed and stored in the overhead compartment for more comfortable sitting on the plane. Removing the dress, however, may pose more of an issue.
