Canadian low-cost airline WestJet now offers an extra fare level featuring additional amenities and services with the launch of its Plus fare option.
The Plus fare package includes complimentary flight change and cancel options, higher baggage allowance with two free checked bags, extra legroom (36-inch seat pitch), a complimentary food and alcoholic beverages, priority boarding and overhead bin space, and priority security screening at select airports.
WestJet now offers a choice of three fare levels – Econo, Flex and Plus – to its passengers at the time of booking.
Passengers who have purchased Econo and Flex fares can upgrade to the Plus option for a fee at check-in, subject to availability.
Earlier this year, WestJet added extra legroom in the first three rows of seating on all 103 of its Boeing Next Generation 737 planes.
