Which?, the UK’s largest product-testing and consumer research organisation, ranked Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines as the world’s best long-distance airlines on the basis of a poll of over 12,000 UK air passengers in its 2013 year-end survey.
Swiss International Airlines and Turkish Airlines were rated as the best short-haul airlines. Ryanair was rated as the worst short-haul airline.
The passengers rated the airlines according to their overall satisfaction and the likelihood of recommending the chosen airline to a friend.
Air New Zealand received five stars – the highest rating – in eight of the nine criteria for the airlines including legroom, in-flight entertainment, food and drink, punctuality and value for money.
